and also a hat for the clown.
Glue the festooning on for the hair,
and the red pompon for the nose.
On the back of the paper plate,
glue the craft stick for a handle.
For double hold,
place a piece of tape over it to hold it tight.
Have fun clowning around!:o)

*one craft stick
*a 12” piece of black yarn
*crayons, glue, tape, paper punch

Have the child color the bumble bee picture,
then cut it out.

then cut it out.
Glue the various shapes of construction paper
to the shell of the turtle. If you have time,

either way it looks really cute.
Glue & tape the craft stick to
the back and its done!
Turtle Puppets on the run! :o)

Rainbow Windsocks

You will need:

*Six different colored pieces of construction paper,
(red, blue, purple, green, orange, and yellow).
*Six tissue streamers
(the same colors as the construction paper)
*A 18” piece of yarn (any color),
glue and paper punch.

Cut one circle from each color of paper.
Cut equal lengths of tissue
paper from each color.
Glue the circles together,
just over the edge of each color.
Then glue the tissue streamers to each circle
at the bottom edge.
You can match the colors, or mix them up for fun.
After the glue is dried,
glue the two edges of the circles together
to form a cylinder/windsock.
Paper punch on opposite sides of the circles,
and tie the yarn through each hole.
Your wind sock is now ready to fly!:o)

Bugs and FLowers

one 8x11 piece of blue construction paper
*tempera paints (purple, yellow, orange, green)
*sponges cut in the shapes of flowers and stems
*green construction paper 1/4 in length

Sponge paint the flowers and stems on the blue paper.
While it is drying, fray the green construction paper
to look like grass. After it has dried,
glue on the green grass along the bottom edge.
Then, have the child dip their finger into the paint
and press their finger prints onto the page
(these will be the bugs)
Be creative, have them put several fingerprints
together to make caterpillars,
or 3 together to make a bugs body and wings.
After the bugs have dried,
with a marker, draw on antennas, legs, etc. Very cute and creative. :o)

Tie a piece of yarn to the top of the sun, and another piece to the bottom.

KITE: Have the children color the kite (diamond shape) any color they desire.

Attach another piece of yarn to the bottom to attach the boat.

BOAT: Have the children color or paint, or cut out from construction paper a boat shape.
Attach it to the kite with a piece of yarn,
and attach another piece of yarn to the bottom of the boat, to attach the seashell to...

*1/2 cup light corn syrup
*few drops of food coloring
*glitter or confetti
*glue gun

Rainbow Fish

You will need:

*one lunch bag(white)
*tempera paint in various colors of the rainbow
*blue construction paper
*twist ties
*newspaper (approx 2 pages pc)
*glue

Have the children paint the entire bag as they desire. It goes allot faster if they want to use a sponge,
but they can get more creative if they are allowed to use paintbrushes.
Let one side dry completely before doing the other side.
Once it has dried, use a dark marker to color in an eye and mouth.
While it is drying, have the children cut out one large fin (for the top)
and two smaller fins (for the sides) or you can do this for them ahead of time.
Once it has dried, stuff the inside with the newspaper,
leaving enough room to be able to have a fish tail, and twist the twist tie around it.
Then glue on the fins. If desired, tape a piece of string/yarn to the top
so the fish can “swim” As an addition to this craft,
read the story about the Rainbow Fish - either before or while the paint is drying. :o)

Rhythm Streamers

You will need:

*one small paper plate
*markers
*paper punch
*ribbon
*tissue streamers
*stapler

Have the children color one side of the paper plate,
using either markers, water paints, or crayons.
Once it is finished, fold it in half,
and staple along the edge.
Punch holes along the edge,
small holes for the ribbon,
and triple size holes for the streamers.
Put on some music and let the kids
dance with their streamers to the music.:o)

Oinkers!

You will need:

*the bottom half of a cardboard egg carton (6-12-18)
*pink tempera paint
*paper punch
*yarn
*scissors

This is a craft that you will make for the kids to play with. They will have so much fun pretending to be little piggies * The 3 Little Pigs * Part of their farm center.* You can also do this to reinforce the letter "P"
Paint the bottom (outside part) of an egg carton pink, and let dry.
Cut apart each section and then punch a hole on each side
Tie a piece of yarn onto each hole (long enough to go around the child's head and tied)
Put the child's initials inside the snout (don't want to spread germs ya know)
Now tie each snout onto each child's face and let the fun and their imaginations take over.

As you can see we have some very talented little artists! We all have fun making projects here at Debby's Giggles and Wiggles Child Care. If you are interested in ordering from Funshine Express, here is the link:
